We are patiently waiting for our eucalyptus seeds to show signs of germination. Here are Archer and Jess making sure that the seed trays are kept moist.

Open Night 2015
Posted onThank you to all of parents, carers and other family members who were able to visit the classroom last week for our Open Night. We certainly hope that you enjoyed looking at the range of learning activities we had on display. In all, we had 19 different families from our classroom represented and a number of visitors from other classrooms also called in to see what we have been doing in our classroom.

Posted onBook Week & Bloom’s Taxonomy
Posted onWe have been very busy in the classroom looking at some of the books that have been shortlisted for Book Week Awards. One of the books we have read lately is “The Stone Lion” by Margaret Wild. We have been using this book as a chance to develop some skills associated with Bloom’s Taxonomy. This book features a statue of a Stone Lion as one of the main characters. When discussing statues, we did some research into a well know Australian statue….”The Dog On The Tuckerbox”. Here is a photo of Will and Brodie working hard to find out more about this particular statue.
New Student
Posted onA special welcome to Molly, our new Year 3 student. Molly and her family have just arrived from England and we welcome them to our school community. Molly didnt take long to demonstrate that she could very well be the next Aussie tennis star or maybe she is just getting her skills ready to land a big fish! We hope that Molly and her family will enjoy their time with us at Craigburn.
