About

Our school library is a learning and information centre where students have the opportunity to access the best of children’s literature and quality non-fiction books chosen to meet the reading needs and interests of our students. We aim to get your child “hooked on reading. New books are constantly being added to the collection so take some time to look at all the new books on the New Book Display with your child.

Students have many opportunities to visit the library, either regularly through ‘Browse and Borrow’ times with class teachers and before and after school. During the second half of lunchtime children are able to visit the library to read, relax, play games or use the iPads.

Borrowing Limits
Reception to Year 2 four items
Years 3 to 7 six items
Items are borrowed for a period of 2 weeks.

Parent Library
All parents are welcome to use the Parent Library which is located in the Resource Centre. The library is largely comprised of books and articles that are concerned with parenting issues, and stages of childhood and adolescence.

Volunteers
On a daily basis there are many books to be re-shelved, shelves to tidy, books to cover and other odd jobs, and any offers of help would be greatly appreciated

Mrs Williams, the Teacher-librarian, Jane and Julianne can help your child find books that will interest them. Remember the more your child reads the more their reading will improve.
