Here are some photographs of Room 25 students conducting a science investigation where we made and shared observations about the movement of water. We used sand to construct a model of a landscape in which we could include hills, damns, rivers and tunnels. We then used coloured water to represent rain. We poured the rain in the mountains of our landscapes and watched how it travelled over the terrain and where it ended up. We could see where rivers formed and that the water ended up in low lying areas and damns. We all had a lot of fun and worked well in our teams.
