Media Consent
In celebrating and sharing the wonderful activities and achievements of our students, we occasionally use photographs and videos in various media formats. This may include our school website, Seesaw posts, Craigburn Connections news blog, class newsletters, and social media platforms.
To ensure we have your permission to include your child in these media, we kindly ask new families to complete the Media Consent Form, which you should have received in a take home envelope in the first week of school. This form allows you to specify your preferences regarding the use of your child’s image and work.
If not already done so, please review the form carefully, complete it, and return it to the school as soon as possible.
Current families may wish to update their permissions.
Your cooperation helps us maintain a respectful and secure environment for all students.
Student Use of Mobile Phones and Personal Devices Policy
A reminder that a ‘Student Use of Mobile Phones and Personal Devices Policy’ was introduced to schools in 2024.
We ask that parents are familiar with this policy which relates to personal devices not being carried / worn by students during the school day. Note personal devices, include mobile phones and smart watches that are capable of sending or receiving messages or calls and/or able to connect to the internet.
School-Managed iPads for Students
We’re pleased to share an update about our student technology program. Starting this year, all students will use school-managed iPads, meaning students in Years 2-6 will no longer need to bring their own device. Students in Years 2-6 have been issued with a school managed iPad – to be used only at school. This ensures safer and secure online experiences with school-managed settings. Students in Reception to Year 1 have access to a shared set of devices.
We have also updated our ‘Acceptable Use Agreement’ for students in ‘child friendly’ language.
