A foggy day at Craigburn. By Libby
Today it was a foggy day. The trees looked like shadows. It was wet and cold. We ran to the goals and back. Fog is a big cloud down below. When its foggy it is very misty.
Laptops in Room 4
We have access to a trolley of laptops on a regular basis and the children have a variety of tasks to do on them. They share them and have to work together. This week the children used ‘Comic Life to prepare a page about “THREE WISHES”. This is in conjunction with our upcoming whole school performance of Aladdin. Here are the children working on the laptops.

Life Education Bus
We recently had a visit from the Life Education Bus. Life education encourages respect for the uniqueness of each individual. When our class went into the bus we looked at the main internal human body parts, the safe use and storage of medicines, being scared/pressured to do things and ways of coping, safety in public places and appropriate remedies for illness. ‘Harold’ is a giraffe who takes the children on their journey.

Buddy Planting Project
Today with the help of our Year 5 buddies we undertook a planting project to establish native plants around the new Year 6/7 building. As a result of our work ,our school environment is looking fantastic. We are very keen to watch the progress of our plants and ensure they are well cared for. Back in our classroom we looked at photos that were taken and we chose a photo to write about our planting experience.
Be Active
Our Class
We work co-operatively with another Year One class. We make sure we plan our Inquiry Units together and each day we do core subjects such as Maths and English together. The children interact with each other on a daily basis. Our classrooms have a door that opens up so that the children can move freely between each class as needed.
