Building a cohesive, effective classroom

To start the year, one of areas we are aiming to develop in our classroom is the development of a cohesive, effective learning environment.

To do this we used a visual tool called a “Y” chart to look carefully at what an effective classroom might be like. Below is what the students came up with:

This also has a strong connection to our Class Agreement which the class helped develop about how we want to function as a learning community throughout the year.
