Weekly Wrap 2024 – Term 1 Week 11

Weekly Wrap 2024 – Term 1 Week 11

Sports Day
Our Sports Day was a great success. The turnout was fantastic, and we were thrilled to see the community come together and enjoy the day in perfect weather conditions. Congratulations to Woodforde for winning the sports day shield for the fourth year in a row, closely followed by Fraser, Riley and Bradman

We extend a special acknowledgment to Karen Pettman for her exceptional coordination and dedication to every aspect of the organisation of our Sports Day. Additionally, we appreciate the collective efforts of the sports day committee, canteen staff, and parent volunteers, whose contributions were instrumental in making the day a resounding success.

We would also like to commend all the students who participated with such positive team spirit and came dressed in their house team colours. A big ‘shout out’ goes to our Be Active Leaders for their excellent leadership over recent weeks and on the day itself. They worked collaboratively and enthusiastically to prepare and rehearse the health hustle and team chants, which provided high levels of motivation for their team members. We also appreciated the effort they put in, by arriving at school early on Friday to set up for the day.

Well done to everyone involved in making the day a success!

Student Led Conferences
Thank you to families who attended their child’s/children’s student-led conference/s over the last week. A reminder that student-led conferences continue this week. These conferences are an important part of our annual assessment and reporting practices where students take an active role in sharing their reflections of their achievements from Term 1 and learning goals moving forward. If you were unable to meet with your child’s teacher for a conference, please contact them to arrange a suitable time to meet next term.
