Craigburn Soccer Game Report – 25/05/2024

Firstly, we would like to welcome any new players to existing teams, so if you’re thinking about playing soccer please reach out! It would be amazing to see more faces out there 😃

A great first few games to begin the soccer season with all students and families upholding Craigburn’s values.

An update from coaches:

Seniors
Senior soccer is back for the season and had us travelling just up the road to face St John’s on a lovely winter’s morning.

We had low rotations on the bench due to illness and injury, but with some support from St. John’s who lent us one player we fielded a full side with 1 on the bench. With only one on the bench, it meant the children were not going to get much of a break and they took the game on, most of them running out a full game with no rest, the game was physical and tough, but also very fair and we were able to come away with a 2-2 draw.Next week the seniors will be at Craigburn vs Stella Maris at 9:30am.
Travis Bell and Gareth Bryant

U10’s
Everyone contributed to the 5-2 victory against Brighton. An all-round team performance and great start to the season.
Chris Evans

U9’s
The team played a really cohesive game, their defence was strong and with no subs all the boys gave it their all and didn’t quit (despite all their nonstop running!).
Bridget Dansie

U8’s
A fantastic effort from the whole team despite a 3-1 loss.
Chris Allan

Looking forward to all teams playing at home this weekend!
