Year 3 Basketball 

Craigburn Yellow

The Year 3 Craigburn Yellow team has had another great term of basketball at the Blackwood Recreation Centre.

The team is a pleasure to coach and have been constantly improving. Everyone looks out for their team mates on the floor and we have tried to focus on sharing the ball around and allowing everyone to score and get involved. The team’s energy and enthusiasm is unmatched and have been able to apply some great defence and teamwork when faced with a challenging opponent. We have been undefeated this term but we haven’t played the other Craigburn team yet!! A match up that I’m sure all the kids are looking forward to.

Thanks to all the parents for your support and help with scoring on the day, and look forward to more fun in term 4.

The boys have done so well, they have only lost 1 game this term! They learn and improve each week they are a great team and we all have fun!!

Year 4 Basketball

Craigburn Blue

With a few extra players joining the Year 4 cohort in term 3, our huge group could once again split into two smaller teams, meaning way more court time for everyone!

Our Blue team is starting to really gel together beautifully and they are playing like a real unit. I’m seeing improvements every week in each player, and I couldn’t be more proud of the effort they are putting in!

The Boys have had a tough yet enjoyable term 3 of Basketball, as a Team we are looking forward to working together on our team work, passing & shooting & having some fun on the court, we have recently starting training again after school again, a Big thank you to Bec for looking after the majority of training for Term 3. We also welcomed a new player to our team in Abraham, who brings some fresh enthusiasm to the mix.

I am honestly proud of the team’s efforts this season, I can see improvements with each individual, they should all be proud of their efforts.

Year 6 Basketball

The Craigburn Chipmunks (Yr 6s) have had our best term yet, and we have been competitive in every game we have played, despite the fact we have had a lot of injuries and illness, and sometimes barely got a full team on the court. We won lots of games, and had a draw, and lost two games by only one point, so it has been an exciting season with lots of exciting finishes. The boys (and girls) are playing really well as a team, everyone’s basketball skills are coming along in leaps and bounds, and most importantly we are having a blast playing Bball!
