On Friday 31st July we had our first genius hour session. Everyone was very excited and keen to have a go at being creative! Earlier in the week students had started planning what they would be doing. They had to write a list of things they would need. Some students were very organised on the day and had remembered to bring their materials to school. Some worked with a partner, in small groups or independently. At the end of the session students were required to reflect on the success of the session. Then they shared back to the class. There was lots of making happening and everyone was very engaged with their project. Some students had to use problem solving skills throughout the session as they realised their initial plan was not going to work. Here are some photos of what we did:
