On Wednesday 18th November we were so excited to see that Coco’s chrysalis had turned black and was ready to open up. During the morning it opened and a monarch butterfly appeared! It was hanging from the plant just like the chrysalis had been. We took it outside near some bushes and left it on a plant so it could eventually fly away. We thought it was really special that we saw Coco change from a caterpillar to a chrysalis and finally to a beautiful butterfly. Now we are waiting for Coco Junior to change to a butterfly too.
