On Tuesday 19th of September Room A1, A3 and A4 went to the Migration Museum and Ayers House in Adelaide city. We went on an excursion because we wanted to learn more about the past.
First we went to the Migration Museum. We got dressed. I choose the summery dressing they gave us names. Next I went with Toby and we learned about South Australia in the olden days and the punishment they gave kids. Then I went with Rebecca and we learned how to write our names in their writing all together. Then we played some games. After that we left. Then we ate lunch in front of Ayers House. Inside we got to meet Mrs Peters and Mrs Wood we learned to be servants. We saw the ladies bedroom and then the gentlemen’s bedroom. In the nursery we learned a little rhyme. We went to the kitchen and I made a cake out of kinetic sand. We also polished the stair case up to the top.
I felt happy because I got to be a servant and putting the clothes on that we don’t put on anymore. My favourite room in Ayers House was the kitchen. My favourite part was getting the clothes on.

On Tuesday 19th of September our class and half of Miss Humphrys class went on an excursion to the Migration Museum and Ayers House because we are learning about history through the artefacts. I was in the Adelaide city.
First all of us got on the bus and me and Finlay carried the first aid bag. So we set off it took a little time for us to get to the Migration Museum. We had fun on the bus. When we got there we went through the entrance. We saw a very old statue. After that we had recess. Next we saw our instructors their names were Toby and Rebecca. Toby told us a lot, one thing was that the ship that the England people went on was called the Buffalo. Rebecca taught us how they used to write in the olden days. Soon we played some games and left it was fun. Then we went to the Ayers House. We walked for a couple of minutes to Ayers House. When we got there we had lunch. It was yummy. We had some time so we played some running games. Soon we went inside. There were two nice ladies their names were Mrs Wood and Mrs Peters. They both told all of us a lot. First we did china training and then we split into two groups so it started. The thing that interested me the most was the chandelier.
I felt amazed and grateful for us staying together as a family and amazed because the chandelier it weighed 400kg and it was hanging on the roof and it had 3000 pieces of glass on it.

We played with real dough. It smelt nice. It was fun to play with. We could make stuff on them. We moulded it a lot. Then we went back to the dining room and sat. We carried trays to another person on the other side of use. We could go fast or slow. It wasn’t that hard to, it was easy.

First we went to the Migration Museum. We learned about the 19th century and the Buffalo. After that we played some games. Then we walked to Ayers House. In Ayers House Mrs Wood and Mrs Peter taught use what it would be like if you were a slave. It was a big house and it was old. First we went to the kitchen and then we went to the gentlemen’s bedroom. After that we went to the ladies bedroom. Then we went to the nursery and played with some toys and dress ups. Jake dressed up in a black suit and a black hat. There was a poem for the kids to read. Then we went downstairs to the dining room.
