Acrostic Poems

This week our Show and Tell Topic was to make an acrostic poem using the letters in our name. What a lot of interesting words were chosen. Energetic, Active, Loving, Artistic were very popular. The children enjoyed sharing their work with the class and it was fun to hear the words that were chosen.

Wach this PictureTrail to see the great work we did. Many thanks for all the hard work in creating such interesting posters!

If you did an Acrostic poem, what words would you choose for your name?

  1. Hi Mrs Kolenberg and Room 4!
We loved looking at your acrostic poems. It looks like you spent a lot of time writing and decorating your poems. Your poems were really good.

  7. Mrs. K and class,

I think this is a really creative way to boost your students self esteem and make them think of qualities they have. My class did posts about ourselves on our individual blogs. I think telling people about ourselves is a really good way for people to make connections with other people’s blogs and making these acrostic poems is another good way to make good connections.
