School Cricket 2024

Registrations of interest are now open for children who would like to play school cricket in 2024.

Cricket is open for children in Years 2 to 6 and involves a weekly training session (at school), with matches played on Saturday mornings at various school ovals (home and away). The cricket season runs throughout terms 1 and 4.

Registration fees are set at $100 per season per player in Years 4 -6 and $60 per player in Years 2 -3.

Matches last about an hour and a half at the junior levels and about two and a half hours in the senior levels which makes for an enjoyable Saturday morning of cricket for both players and spectators. Children who play all season also receive a trophy at the end of the year.

The first game is scheduled to begin at the end of Week 3.

Craigburn has a great reputation for sport and has been very successful at Cricket over the years, and we hope this trend to continue.

To ensure the school can successfully nominate teams, we need to determine the number of students across the various year levels who would like to play cricket for the school.

To register your child’s interest, please complete online ‘Registration of Interest form as soon as possible.

Similarly, to coordinate and coach / manage teams, a coordinator and coaches are required. The cricket coordinator works with the school to coordinate the season of cricket in liaison with SACA representatives. Coaches are required for each team to manage trainings and game day tasks eg umpiring, coordinating scorers etc.

If you are willing and able to help with either coordinating and / or coaching – please register your interest on the Registration of Interest’ form.

Once ‘Registrations of Interest’ forms have been received, teams can be nominated and registration forms with payment details will be issued.
