Children in Years 3 to 6 are invited to play basketball for the school as part of the Blackwood Recreation Centre’s after-school hours competition run on weekday afternoons, as follows:
- Tuesday – Year 3
- Wednesday – Year 4
- Thursday – Year 6
- Friday – Year 5
Game times are from 3.45pm to 5.30pm
To register your child for Term 1 school basketball, please complete the registration details and make payment – all on Qkr!, or by downloading the attached registration form and returning to the school as as soon as possible – as teams need to be nominated this week for the Term 1 competition.
The registration fee for the 2024 year is $40, which covers running / uniforms / equipment / end of year presentation costs. There is also a small stadium entrance fee payable on game day.
For the school to nominate teams, a minimum of 6 players and a coach are required.
*** Please let me know if you are willing and able to coach a team.
We would love to see as many children play basketball for the school in 2024. Please note, if needed after-school transport arrangements can be organised separately by families.
