Sports Day 2024

Sports Day is fast approaching, on Friday 5th April.

All Craigburn students are placed in a Sports Day House team when they start school.

Our teams are:

  • Bradman – Blue – Named after Australian Cricketer Sir Donald Bradman
  • Fraser – Green – Named after Australian Swimmer Dawn Fraser
  • Riley – Red – Named after Australian Swimmer Samantha  Riley
  • Woodforde – Yellow – Named after Australian Tennis Player Mark Woodforde

(Note – these House Team names were determined by students in the mid 1990s)

Our Year 6 Be Active Leaders have been busy preparing for the day by choreographing a new health hustle, meeting classes and preparing to teach the health hustle and team chants to students.

Events, timetables and equipment are being finalised as we prepare for this exciting family and community day.

On the day, please note.

  • Students are encouraged to come to school dressed in their sports team colour, in sunsmart clothing with their school hat and a top covering their shoulders.
  • Please ensure all students have a drink bottle with water for the day and sunscreen to apply.
  • Students are to arrive at school and meet in their classrooms as normal by 8:50am.
  • Early dismissal time 2:10pm.

The program for Sports Day with a timetable, map showing tabloid events and information for the day will be available soon.
