Jump Rope for Heart Demonstration

On Friday our Jump Rope team held a whole day of demonstrations and workshops. Classes came with their buddy class to join in on all of the fun. The first activity was the chicken dance for a warm up, then we had different activity stations that we rotated around. They were individual ropes, double dutch and long ropes.
It was a very busy and fast 1/2 an hour. We had lots of fun and think the Jump Rope team did a great job hosting the day. The teachers that co-ordinate Jump Rope are Miss Grant and Miss Humphreys.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to the whole team. Well done!!!

  1. Oh Boy!!! What great fun you must have had. Trent it looks like you will take after your sisters in the jump rope team.

  2. This looks like a wonderful time was had by all! Do you do it as part of a program to promote healthy hearts? Our Physical Education teacher here at New Haven Elementary School does a jumping rope unit each winter. He built a 5 foot wooden kangaroo to hold one end of the rope for us!
