Here is a post by Will about his recent school holidays-
In the holidays I went on the train to the Festival Theatre, we did a tour of the change rooms, practice room, we sat on the seats and we saw where they made the props. Emma’s family came with us. We ate our lunch on the grass near the River Torrens. We played hide and seek on the colored blocks and chasey.
Tell us what you think of Will and Emma’s holiday adventure.
Hi Will and Emma,
Your tour of the Festival Theatre sounded excellent, what a great way to spend the day. Did you have an opportunity to feed the ducks on the River Torrens? From the smiles on your faces, it looks as though you had a wonderful time.
I wish I could have come too but I had to work that day. Playing on the blocks outside the Festival Theatre is so much fun too, especially jumping between them.
I am still amazed by what our tour guide told us that day about Adelaide having Baths (swimming pools) where the Festival Theatre now is. I wonder what the Kaurna people thought of it all. It was an important place for them prior to all of us arriving, of course!
Wow! Sounds like you had a great time at the Festival Theatre, Will. Maybe it’s inspired you or Emma to one day become an actor or singer …? How fun would that be!
Hi Will and Emma,
Sounds like you both had an interesting tour of the Festival Theatre. I remember when I came over to visit Will in Adelaide a few years ago and we went down to the River Torrens and had a ride on the paddle boats. Hopefully we can do that again when i next visit and you can show me the Festival Theatre.
Cheers
Stephan
The holidays were sooooooooooooooo fun!
Hi Will and Emma,
Sounds like you had a great trip to the Festival Theatre, hopefully soon your parents will take you to see something spectacular there and it will complete your adventure. Hope you are planning for your next school holiday adventure… love Will’s Aunty Pete xx
